This time of year is always a little bitter sweet. I miss the excitement of Christmas, the Christmas music, and how everybody is in such a giving spirit. But Christmas is exhausting when you have your own family. Making goodies, making Christmas dinner, all the parties going on, getting Christmas morning ready for the kids....the list goes on. But my appreciation for my amazing mother if possible has increased this holiday season. My mom is pretty much amazing, how she ever did what she did with all of 9 of us kids, will never cease to amaze me.
This Christmas was especially fun. Jackson didn't quite understand everything about Christmas, but he understood some. It made Christmas come to life again, like when we were little children. Anytime he would see a Santa ..in the mall, on a movie, in a book etc, he would run around saying "Ho, ho, ho."
He especially loved making his gingerbread house and making some cookies for Santa to eat....I'm not going to lie...Santa probably didn't eat his cookies after he saw these pictures :)
Dad made his cute little gingerbread house...
But unfortunately it didn't hold together very well....haha, this picture cracks me up! :)
All is well, he discovered he can still eat it....broken and all.
Making cookies for Santa...
Or so we thought.... :)
My mom made all of us matching hats for Christmas...we love them, they are so cute!
New hat and glasses...
All tuckered out after a fun and exciting day.... :)
Since Christmas Jackson has been really enjoying his tool set! He is going to be just like his dad!
For Christmas Don and I really wanted to get a picture of Christ for the boys' room. So I found some things on pinterest and got busy planning what I wanted for their room. We are very pleased with the outcome. We love it, just what they needed in their room. It's a good thing I have such a talented husband he can make some really amazing picture frames! ;)
BEFORE: Their room is super boring nothing on the walls....but that's all changed! :)
I love it!....Isn't Don so talented. Thanks for putting up with me during this project babe! :)
I guess this can count for the project for this month...it actually took a really long time to makes these, but they were so delicious and so pretty! :) Its probably a treat I'll make every Christmas...it was really fun!
