Meeker Days

2 weekends ago was Meeker Days here in Puyallup. The name Meeker comes from the founders of Puyallup and every year they hold a mini fair type thing.  There was lots of booths, rides, and games for the kids.  Jackson seemed to love it! We didn't even spend any money so it doesn't get better than that. There was a farm section, and when we first got there Don got selected, along with a bunch of little kids, to participate in the " I don't want to be a chicken, I don't want to be a duck, I just want to shake my bum" song.  To say the least I think he was little embarrassed, but he was a trooper and I thought it was super funny.  He's probably going to kill me for posting pictures of it...a risk I'm willing to take! :)

 I thought this cow we stumbled upon was super funny...when you can't find the real thing I guess you have to get creative! :)

 They had a "corn" play area for the kids....Jackson lasted about 15 seconds before he wanted out!

 Jackson loves to swing and I thought his facial expression in the next couple of pictures were so funny! We've been told before that Jackson has some pretty funny facial expressions, I guess these pictures just confirm.

While Don walked around with Jackson for a little bit, Lincoln and I hung out on the grass watching the singers and dancers! 

 Jackson is a huge fan of anything that involves water, so when he saw this sweet system with all the ducks he went crazy! It was a fun day!

"What about Jackson??"

Jackson has a deep love for food.  He could probably eat all day long if I would let him. He's at an age where he likes to feed himself. He tries with a spoon but isn't very successful yet so he resorts to his hands! He loves being able to feed himself, I like it too because then I can eat my meal.  The cleanup however is a little less enjoyable...man that kid knows how to make a mess! :) I am so grateful he is not a picky eater and will basically eat whatever I put in front of him! Enjoy the pictures and video! :)

His nose is red because after he finished his peanut butter and jelly sandwich he likes to lick his plate to get all the extra jam and peanut butter still on it...at least he doesn't let his food go to waste!

 If one fistful just doesn't cut it...you have to be prepared for an instant second fistful.

 Look how many noodles I can fit in my mouth at one time mom!!!....Such a talented little guy!

 Pure joy...he may not eat the sauce...but you better bet he will eat every last noddle!

I don't know how many of you have seen the movie, "What about Bob?" But we think it's a pretty funny movie and there was a scene that reminded us of Jackson! Jackson used to do this all the time with a lot more "mmmm's", but now he only really does it when he is eating his fruit! :)

Mornings with the boys!

Sometimes, when Don can, he gets up with the boys and lets me sleep in. He is so sweet! :) The boys just love spending time with daddy and after witnessing what happens, I can see why! Their dad spoils them rotten. :)

Lincoln gets to be rocked and loved on. And Jackson gets back massages from his dad. And in case you couldn't tell, he LOVED it, he gets that from his parents! Almost every night Don and I try to give each other a little back massage or head massage, we are kind of suckers for them!

 This picture just makes me laugh...apparently we have some movie junkies on our hands with bad posture! :) But it doesn't get much better for them, plus Jackson gets to each Cheerios too!

Last day in Seattle

So day 3 in Seattle included going to the Space Needle, the Pacific Science Center, and the EMP, (music museum) and going on the train for my first time ever! It was a fun filled day, but by the end of the day I was glad we had seen the sites and could finally be done with our Seattle adventures! It sure isn't as easy as it once was to drop everything and go on a trip for the day. It is tough when you have kids, it was challenging fitting on buses and trains but it was a fun day and well worth it.

On our way to the Science Center we ran into this crazy cool water disco ball type thing and Jackson just loved it.  I wish it would have been a little warmer so we could let him actually get wet and play in it. Don took him down to play around it and let him get a "little" wet. He loved it! :)

1. Our first "real" stop was the Pacific Science Center. Don and I both assumed that this stop would be the most boring, but it actually turned out to be our favorite spot in Seattle! It was so fun and so neat to see everything they had. If we end up living here for a while, it will definitely be something we do again with the kids!  There was a spot specifically for the little kids and Jackson just loved it. When it was time to go, he threw fit and was so mad that he couldn't just stay and play forever.

Playing in the toy cars...and loving every minute of it. He is such a boy! :) 

 SCARY!!! I hope this doesn't happen for a very long time!

 While I was playing in the cars with Jackson I was trying to find Don, he was in the music room banging on things to make noise.  He's a kid at heart! :)

2.  Our next stop was the Space Needle. It was neat to see the city so high. On the way up to the top you go up in an elevator with windows so that the whole time you can see out, I thought that was pretty cool.  The view at the top was beautiful, it was cloudy day but the weather was actually really nice.

On our way to the Space Needle we ran into a guy swallowing a sword. Crazy! It totally made me think of the TV show America's Got Talent, and all the people who do crazy things to get some fame...

3. The EMP was a total disappointment.  We maybe spent 20 minutes in there before we left. We both thought it was incredibly boring, but it will be fun to say we've been I guess! :) So I only got a couple pictures. The building on the outside itself was amazing. I forgot to get a picture, but I found this one online.

Taking the train home. Jackson loves taking the train, he's taken it before with Don, but he just loves to walk around and climb the stairs. He knows he's cute and he just waits for people to look at him so he can give them a big smile a win over their hearts. :)
