Our Thanksgiving...

Our Thanksgiving day was a big success! We crammed a lot of fun into the 2 days Don had off from work.  I was so exhausted when the weekend hit though.  It really makes me appreciate my amazing mother and everything she does for our family now and especially what she did for us when we were little...its a LOT of work!

Well I'm proud to say that our dinner turned out perfect this year. We spent the day with our sweet family and with the missionaries from our area.  We sure missed being around our families though!

 The day before Thanksgiving we went and got our Christmas tree!

 So every year I make a chocolate pie for Thanksgiving...mostly because its delicious...but it's the easiest pie in the entire world to make! I had some left over chocolate pudding so I decided to let Jackson enjoy it! :)

 At the beginning I was super impressed at how clean he was staying....

 Until I looked 3 minutes later....haha

 He sure loved it though...he was pretty mad at me when I had to clean it up!

 Just in case he wasn't messy enough... :)

 Thankfully he loves getting cleaned up....IF he can play in the sink!

That evening we pulled out all the Christmas stuff.  Jackson loved all the lights and he loved playing with the "his" size santa.  He doesn't really understand Christmas this year, but he knows how to say ho, ho, ho!

 The day after Thanksgiving we took Jackson to see his first movie in the theaters! We took him to Wreck- it Ralph.  He sat on Don's lap without moving for the first 45 minutes but then he wanted to play on the stairs... overall for the first movie outing we thought he did really good. And we thought Wreck-it Ralph was a pretty cute movie, we recommend it! :)

A couple weeks ago some of my friends and I got together to make Christmas wreaths they turned out so cute! I'm thinking of making some more for the different holidays because I just love how mine turned out!

 It was super easy to make...you just thread the balls through on a wire hanger. So fun!

Catching up... starting with Halloween!

It's been a long time since I've posted on my blog...I was having issues with it but thanks to Tia & Merrick it's all taken care of! Thanks guys!!

Well I'm a little overwhelmed with where I should start, I'm so far behind!! I guess I'll start with some Halloween pictures!

This year Don and Lincoln went as clowns!! I am pretty bummed because I forgot to get any picture of Don and I .... oh well I guess.

Jackson went as Woody and I went as Jessie! Jackson sure had a lot of fun with Halloween this year!

At our church Halloween party they had a bunch of games for the little kiddos...Jackson's favorite was  the Limbo! He had a lot of fun dancing to the music and hanging out with his best friend Savannah!

This year we let Jackson color/chalk a pumpkin. He sure had a lot of fun with it! This kid cracks me up all the faces he makes for the camera....

 Halloween is Don's Birthday too, so did a lot of celebrating. Jackson had to get rinsed off in the sink after eating Don's favorite dinner... spaghetti!

As you can tell Don was super excited about his new shirt! :) I felt bad because he had to leave in the middle of his party and he didn't get to go trick or treating with the boys because he got called off to work! Ah...the joys of a social worker!

 

 I had been planning on doing a Thanksgiving project for a while, but I didn't do it until Thanksgiving Day!! haha...well I couldn't put them away after only one day, so they are still up with all of our Christmas stuff! I think they turned out cute though...and of course I got the idea off of Pinterest! Everything on the blocks is paint...with a little ribbon to dress it up a little.
