Major haircut!!! :)

For a long, long time now I have been wanting to chop off my hair. I just felt I couldn't do anything with it being so long and so thick. I was ready for some style! :) I may have gotten a little carried away...because now I feel like I have no hair!  But I love it, and it feels so good! I remembered as I was waiting to get my haircut to snag a before picture...I'm glad I remembered!
Look at all that hair!!!  The hair stylist was so impressed I didn't cry, but hey it's just hair, it will grow back eventually! :)
 New hair...and me at 34 1/2 weeks....only 5 1/2 to go!

I love how light my head feels...so glad I finally got it done!

Not 1, not 2, but 3 DAYS without power!

So last week was very interesting.  We got a big snow storm on Wednesday and on Thursday morning our power went out. Every Thursday I try to fix a nice breakfast for Don because it's his day off from his internship, he spends his day doing homework...how fun! :)  Anyways, I was in the middle of fixing breakfast when the power went out...so we had to get out the propane grill to finish.  The house was pretty chilly that morning, but at that point the experience was still fun.  Come Friday....not very fun, come Saturday I was definitely DONE being without power. Our house was so cold Friday you could see our breath inside, our neighbor said her indoor thermostat said it was 36 degrees...yikes. Jackson wore his snowsuit the whole time and he was so mad at us for putting him in it, but I couldn't think of anything else that would keep him as warm as that would.  I felt like a bad mom seeing my little guy freeze, but there's not much you can do in that situation. Luckily some of our very sweet friends called, and Saturday we went to their house and took a nice warm shower and ate a nice warm meal, (thanks Debbi) :) Luckily Saturday night our power came back on.  I don't have any pictures of Friday and Saturday, because it was no longer fun to take pictures of the adventure! haha :)
Trying to keep my feet warm...Don donated his awesome slippers!

Comforting in time of need....   :)
Our breakfast burritos turned out amazing!

Having the power go out for short periods of time is fun for me, I think it's fun to think of ways to entertain ourselves without t.v., radio, etc..  Don and I pulled out the game aggravation, we love this game.  Don made it too!
When Don was helping some neighbors cut down broken branches he came across this and we thought it was so pretty. The picture doesn't do it justice, but the icicles around each pine needle was beautiful!
We lit like 10 candles...even our t-light ones! I so need to buy some more, because we had to borrow some from our neighbor.  Don thought the irony of the sign above the entertainment center wasn't very funny... haha :)  In case you can't read it, it says "Home - a refuge from the storm"

Jackson and his favorite things...

So this last Thursday we went to the library with Jackson, and they had a dog there that the kids could read to. We took Jackson right away because Jackson absolutely loves animals of any kid and he has zero fear of any kid of animal.  He just walks straight up to them and tries to maul them! :) I love when kids get so excited over the littlest things, it makes me feel like a good mother when I see how happy he is! Also, Roxanne our neighbor has cats and he just loves going to visit her to play with her and her cats! It kind of scares me to see how he is not at all soft with the animals...I feel like he's just going to beat up his little brother! He'll learn soon hopefully! :) Sorry for the poor quality of pictures... they were taken with our phone.

So we received this card in the mail and we scratched the three circles and they all matched! Don told me not to get my hopes up because it was probably a scam, or you had to buy something to get something.  Anyways, I wasn't going to give up that easily so I called them, and we actually won something! I'm so excited. So we will be going to pick up our prize this weekend. We have a 1:15,000 chance of winning $15,000. A 1:15,000 chance of winning a 3D LCD TV, a 1:15,000 chance of winning a playstation 3, and a  1:15,000 chance of winning $3,500 and last but not least a 14,996:15000 chance of getting a Jackpot prize.  which ranges anywhere from $50 - $350 in value.  So we will see...stay tuned to see what we won!  I'm trying not to get my hopes up for the $15,000...but that sure would be nice to help pay off some of Don's student loans! :) Oh well...I'm a sucker for free things so I'll take whatever we can get! :)

Our First Snowfall of the season...

So this morning Puyallup, Washington got its first snowfall of the season. I was so excited because I didn't think I would get to see any this year!  But this morning there was huge beautiful flakes everywhere! As soon as Jackson woke up we headed out the door to play in the snow.  Jackson had so much fun! He couldn't wipe his smile off of his face, which you can see from the pictures! Enjoy!
 He sure loves his daddy!
So proud to be walking in the snow...
 Trying to eat the snowflakes...

What are those things falling from the sky?
This is so fun mom and dad...we should do this more often!! ( I wish)  :)

 Spending time with mom...

What are these things that keep falling on my face?
 It feels so strange....
Eww...I don't think I like how this feels...
 Jackson's first little snowman...
 His new best friend...

Touching the snow for the first time...
 Okay that was so fun...
Let me out so I can do it again!!! :)
