Project of the month...

So Don and I went to Costco yesterday to get a new carseat for Jackson, and I just loved the Christmas wreaths they had.  Only they cost like $40.00! But I said something along the lines like, "ooohh that is so pretty I wish I had a wreath like that!" When we came home I was talking to my mom on the phone and Don came walking in with a handful of pine tree branches! I asked him what it was for, and he said he was going to make me a Christmas wreath! He's so sweet, he really tries so hard to make all my wishes come true! :) Sure love him.  Anyways, our neighbors just cut down their huge pine tree, so Don "borrowed" the supplies, :) and we just threw something together with what we had...and honestly I'm VERY impressed with the result!

When we got to this point we decided it needed something more.  SNOW!! If we can't get it for real here, we will make some! We tried to think of what we could use...and luckily we had leftover wall texture from when we were fixing up our house! And it actually looks amazing I think!

 Completed project...what do you think?

We decided to let Jackson get in on the Christmas spirit by playing with Christmas lights, and with Santa. Needless to say, Santa and Jackson hit it off! He loved his new little friend! I'm pretty excited to see how he will be with the real Santa! :)

Bath time...

This morning we gave Jackson a bath, and he was so happy that we just had to take pictures, I love the pictures Don took of him and I at the bottom...so fun. I'm ordering the top right one to put in our bathroom.

Big Steps....

Jackson loves playing on the stairs, when he starts to get grumpy I just go to the stairs with him. He becomes happy instantly, and gets the proudest look on his face....like he knows he is a big boy when he's playing on them, I love it! He is starting to figure out the whole crawling thing, and wants to be standing all the time, which takes a lot of time out of my day, because he will still randomly fall...and it's my job to be there to catch him! :) I love my job!

So proud of himself...as he should be! :)

Getting big!

For Jackson's baby shower we got a gift certificate to JC Penny for $20, I went there not knowing what I was going to get, but when I saw this suit I knew I had to get it because they are so expensive and I don't think I could justify spending that much money on an outfit normally.  But I'm glad I got it, because I LOVE him in it! He is so handsome, he looks more like Don everyday!  He isn't even 9 months yet, but he fit into this 12 month suit, he's getting so big! And sorry for the million pictures...I just can't stop taking pictures of him! :)

Taken at 23 weeks..getting big!!

Don's Birthday

Don's birthday was on Halloween, he had his internship that day so we celebrated his birthday the whole week! We went out to eat at Red Robin, and the food was soooo good! I love Red Robin! For a couple reasons really, but my favorite reason.... you get a FREE burger and FREE ice cream for your birthday! Seriously, can you beat that?? We enjoyed going on a little date with our cute little chaperon... Jackson  :)

Getting a FREE head message...even though he gave me one too! He's the best! It's like I have two birthdays really because he always shares in the goods :)
Our neighbors Andrea and Marv came over for the birthday celebration! They got him some slip on shoes to wear because he always goes over to see them in his socks...they are so sweet! :) I decided to get in the theme of Halloween and make a pumpkin cake.  It didn't turn out like the pictures on the internet, but I thought it was fun to make and turned out cute!

I know....kind of a lame present to give your husband....but he LOVES Milky Ways so that's what he gets!! :)

Playing Catch Up!

So I am still trying to catch up on all the fun Halloween events at our house, I'm not doing a very good job! I still need to blog about Don's fabulous birthday....next time! Carving pumpkins was a lot of fun this year, Jackson seemed to enjoy it, he even tried eating it! Not like that's unusual, he tries to eat EVERYTHING.  But by the end, our new little pumpkin was Jackson's best friend, he just wanted to play with it the rest of the night. :)

Another mom in our ward wanted to throw a Halloween party on Halloween for all the kids.  It was a lot of fun, they had really cute Halloween treats, fun crafts and fun games. All the kids loved it! Jackson meet a new friend, and they loved playing together! He will be a sweet brother he loves being around other kids. They were supposed to dress up for the party but the face paint we used for his clown outfit is so messy, so he went as an army guy.  The hat he is wearing is one Don and I made. Don wanted to learn how to crochet :)

Jackson being a mummy, this lasted a total of 3 seconds :)

This picture makes me laugh.  Jackson gets teased a lot by his dad, but he plays back it's so fun! He never plays this game with me, just his daddy, and apparently this kid! :) We call it getting daddy.  The other moms watching were laughing so hard! The poor kid was probably wondering "what in the world is this kid doing to me". He usually makes some pretty funny noises so we get a kick out of it.
