My First Pie!

So in Washington blackberries grow like weeds, they are ALL over the place! I hadn't ever had any before we moved here. I decided to put them to good use. I made blackberry ice cream topping, which was delicious! And i made my very first pie! I am pretty proud of the way it turned out...and Don said it was scrumptious! So I give myself an A! :) I was so proud that it even looked like a pie that I had to take pictures!

Jackson's Firsts'

So as most of you know, we are officially moved and settled in Puyallup, Washington. And so far we are loving the people here and the area. And already since we've been gone, Jackson has grown and learned new things! So I've been trying to take pictures of all his "first" things. I hope you enjoy the pictures!

Project of the Month

Don's mom gave me this piano bench because it was in pretty rough shape and they didn't need it for anything, I got really excited to fix it up, and I think it turned out great! I forgot to take an actual before picture before I started doing work on it. The first thing I did was sand it down, then I painted it white, then I painted it black, I sanded it again to give it an antique look, put some lacquer on it to give it a nice shine, then finished it off by putting new padding and fabric on the seat. What do you think?

Family Outing to the Zoo

Don got free zoo passes from his work this month so we decided to go! We thought Jackson would love it, but truthfully he slept almost the whole time :) But Don and I enjoyed being together and spending time outside. I can't leave my house during the week so any chance I get to leave this place with the baby I take, and I Really enjoy it! And we were able to get some fun family pictures. Also, for those of you who don't know. Don and I are moving! We will be leaving Idaho Falls around the 4th of July and we will be headed to Seattle for school! We will probably be there a good 4 or so years. We just had everything go through for our new home and we are getting super antsy to get out there! We will miss our families dearly though, but it will be a good experience!

Jackson Gene Fryberger (AKA the cutest baby boy ever) :)

So it has been forever since I've blogged and I have decided that its time to get back into the swing of things! We had our baby finally! He was born February 12th, 2011 at 1:50 am. He weighed 6 lb 7 oz and was 20 inches long. He brings so much joy into our lives and has such a sweet spirit. I think he is growing up WAY to fast though. I put away his new born clothes a little while ago and was shocked at how much he has already grown. At his 2 month appointment he was almost 24 inches long and weighed 12 lbs 8 ozs!! He smiles all the time and has recently learned how to laugh, which has been so fun! We have been blessed to be parents of such a special, sweet boy! We love him so much! Here are some pictures that show how much he has grown!

Bahaha, he loves getting kisses from us, in case you couldn't tell :)

Project for the month!

So I decided it's offically important to have matching Christmas stockings now that we are going to starting our little family. So that's what I've been working on the last couple of weeks, and I think they turned out so cute! The stockings were designed by my very crafty and talented sister-in-law, Leslie. And for those of you who don't know we are going to be naming the baby Jackson Gene Fryberger, but Jackson wouldn't fit so I just went with Jacks! :)

Halloween!

Here are some pictures of our Halloween weekend. For those of you who don't know, Don's birthday is on Halloween so we were able to celebrate that too! He is 25! He's getting old! :) We dressed up as Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd, our costumes turned out pretty cute I think! Enjoy!
